The new service will cover Korea, Central and South China, Singapore, South Africa, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, using eleven vessels of 4,200 teu. The new service will add 4,200 teu of weekly capacity to the trade. Hanjin and Zim will deploy three vessels each, CCNI and Wan Hai will deploy two vessels each and Hapag-Lloyd will deploy one vessel. All vessels should be taken from the spare capacity of these carriers. None of these five carriers offers direct FE-ECSA links currently, although Hanjin did in the past, on a small scale through slot buying. Hapag-Lloyd and Zim are present on ECSA through services involving Europe and the US. CCNI and Wan Hai are not involved in ECSA nor in South Africa.
